Ute Fahlgren: Cochenour Cabin was built in 1928 by William(Bill) and Ed Cochenour. They picked the best possible place on the point in Bruce Channel. Bill and Ed Cochenour along with Dan Willans founded the Cochenour Willans Gold Mine
